TAX HELP

Following an initiative in 1990, the CAB began a free service to the community that became known as Tax Help. Since then, much has changed about the way the Australian Tax Office operates. The greatest of these changes being Electronic Lodgement.
The CAB has maintained its volunteer training in the area of personal taxes and proudly offers to assist taxpayers each year as ‘tax time’ approaches.
Tax Help is open to all local individual taxpayers who are not engaged in a business or other form of commercial enterprise. Sessions normally take around an hour and appointments are available two times a week from August through to October. However, our Tax Help volunteer is available throughout the year for free informal advice.
